Documenting my depressing life in Sweden was a bust

So I'm going to start over! Hi!
I am back in San Francisco taking the summer to work at Voyager full time. I am their "shop keeper" which basically means I get to talk to awesome people all day and help them purchase our amazing merchandise. I love my job.
Check out Voyager's blog at www.thevoyagershop.com
and stay tuned for more

There were these two kids hanging out in front of my window

they said they wanted to come in...

Jesus wasn't special

cuz I've been walking on water all day.
Thats not an ice skating rink, oh no, thats the sidewalk...

Godt Smack not God Hit

Whilst previously living in Scandinavia, I developed an affinity towards a cuisine that would make most California "foodies" frown. However, I am not ashamed of the creamy shrimp, caviar, and dill salad that I smothered on a piece of spelt with sweet pickles for my dinner. This is viking food. Yum!

You know you're in Sweden when...

In my Gothenburg hotel, you have a room key card thing like every other place, right? No no no no. These smart little Swedes want to teach us wasteful Americans a thing or two about conserving electricity, naturally...In order to turn your lights on or off, you must put your hotel room key in a special slot to activate your electricity, therefore if you want to go out, you must also simultaneously turn off your electricity. Fancy that! Warning to those who may or may not be afraid of the dark
Other fine facts about this Swedish hotels:
-You may or may not have a lobby bartender that looks like a Jersey Shore Ken doll
-Their "taco pies" are likely not what you may or may not think that should be
-Listening to Familjen alone in your hotel room may or may not be as exhilarating as you would think
